How long will the Draft Beam® unit last?

Our test have shown that the average usage is approximately 16-20 full size beer kegs.

 

Are Draft Beams disposable?

Yes, they are disposable and if you prefer, you can request a return envelope when placing your order if you wish for us to dispose of the used units for you.

 

Will they fit my existing taps?

Draft Beams fit 99% of the existing tap heads in the United States and most of the standard heads in Europe.

 

How does the Draft Beam® illuminate the pour?

When the tap handle is tilted the light source is powered up by it’s internal battery and a focused beam of light illuminates the beer flow until the tap is handle is returned.

 

Is the Draft Beam® unit rechargeable?

In order to keep the size and cost down the original Draft Beam® is not rechargeable. However, custom units can be manufactured with a rechargeable option.

 

How bright are the Draft Beams?

Draft Beams are designed to adequately light up the area 1/2 - 6 inches below the pour without becoming a nusance to the beertender.

 

Can the Draft Beam® units be removed when not in use?

Yes, the Draft Beam® can be removed when not being used. In fact,we recommend it, it will extend the life of the unit.

 

How exactly will I save money?

We have estimated that you can save from 1/2 to a full ounce per pour, saving big on spillage. Draft Beam® potential for reducing spillage calculates into an estimated savings in excess of $60 for the life of the unit.
